Notes from the Board

Hello WNCSGNA members and friends,
I hope things are going well for everyone! Many thanks to those who attended our spring regional meeting which was held at Forsyth Medical Center on March 25th, 26th, 2011. It was a huge success with 104 attendees on Friday and 165 on Saturday. The Fall Meeting will be on October 8th at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro. Connie Williams is the Program Chair for that meeting.
Most recently, the National SGNA meeting was held in Indianapolis, Indiana from May 5th through May 11th. Board members attending were: Diane Bowen, President; Sherrie Andrew, President Elect; Debbie Orndorff, Immediate Past President; and Becky Bottoms, Treasurer. It was a great meeting! Sherrie and I attended the Leadership workshop and the House of Delegates session on Friday, May 6th.
Congratulations to East Carolina Endoscopy Center in Greenville, Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, and Moses Cone Health System Endoscopy in Greensboro. These facilities were among those being recognized for Excellence in Professionalism. Congratulations to these folks; Great Job! Also, congratulations to CMC for the poster award at Nationals!
As nominating chairman, Debbie Orndorff is currently working on the ballot for 2012. Positions needed are: President Elect (3 year commitment), Secretary (2 year commitment), and Member-at-Large (1 year commitment).
