Candidates for 2012 WNCSGNA Board
PRESIDENT-ELECT
Marci Timmins RN, BSN, CGRN
Marci has been a nurse for 32 years and committed to the GI field for the last 11 years. She is currently working at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center as Clinical Nurse Manager. She has been an SGNA member for 9 years and became certified in 2005. She has served on the WNCSGNA board as member at large and is currently completing her second year as secretary. Marci and the LNRMC staff have hosted 3 regional meetings. Her vision for WNCSGNA is to encourage and increase the involvement of current members and increase membership in the ASC arena. She has been involved with Colon Cancer Awareness and wants to encourage all WNCSGNA members to spread the word to "our patients".
SECRETARY
Connie Williams RN
Connie has been a nurse for 37 years and a GI nurse for 14 years and currently works at Eagle Endoscopy Center in Greensboro where she is the Assistant Clinical Manager. She certified in Gastroenterology in 2005 and has attended several national meetings. She currently serves on the WNCSGNA board as member at large. She will be hosting the 2011 fall regional meeting for WNCSGNA with the help of her colleagues. Connie would like the opportunity to continue her service to WNCSGNA by serving as secretary.
MEMBER-at-LARGE
Judy Petticord LPN
Judy has been a nurse at Forsyth Medical Center for 39 years; 35 were spent in ICU. Judy has been in the field of GI Endoscopy for the past 4 years. She received the Critical Care Nurse Excellence Award in 1990, and has achieved Career Ladder, Level III since 2006.In 2007 she was a recipient of Novant's Remarkable 45 award. Judy assisted with Western NC Regional meetings in 2008 and 2011and would like to further her involvement in Western NC SGNA by serving as Member-at-Large.
Ballots will be available at the fall meeting. Members not at the fall meeting should contact Debbie Orndorff (debbie@escrib.com or 980 254 6387) to receive a ballot. All ballots must be returned by October 20.
